Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026 · Version 1.1

Short version: Allocra uses only the minimum cookies needed to run the site and keep it secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate site usage — Plausible is cookie-free by design, so it does not set cookies and does not track you across sites. See our Privacy Policy §3.2 for details.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make sites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to site operators. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and equivalent browser storage APIs. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

2. What we use cookies for

Allocra currently uses cookies and browser storage for three purposes only:

  • Keeping the site running and secure. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary cookies — for example to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic and to deliver content efficiently.
  • Keeping you signed in (once accounts launch). If you register an account and log in, a session cookie is used to recognise you between pages so you don't have to sign in on every action.
  • Remembering the inputs you enter into our tools. Allocra's tools save the portfolios, tickers, and assumptions you enter in your browser's localStorage, so your work is still there the next time you open the tool. This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to or stored by Allocra.

3. Cookies currently in use

If we ever add a new cookie to the site, we'll update this table. If any future cookie is non-essential, we'll ask for your consent first via a cookie banner.

4. What we do not use

  • No analytics cookies. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookie-free by design — see the callout above. We do not load Google Analytics, Matomo, Fathom, or any other analytics tool that sets cookies.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No social media tracking pixels (no Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, etc.).
  • No cross-site or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Your controls

You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser. Most browsers let you:

  • view the cookies stored on your device and delete them individually or in bulk;
  • block cookies from specific sites or block third-party cookies altogether;
  • clear cookies every time you close the browser.

Clearing cookies may log you out of your account (if you have one) and may cause the tools to lose the inputs you had saved on your device. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning correctly.

You can find detailed guidance at aboutcookies.org or in your browser's help pages.

6. Changes

We will update this policy if our cookie usage changes. Where we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will request your consent before setting them. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
